"The Sandbox" depicts the tragi-comic fate of Grandma, who is brought to a beach - represented by a sandbox - to wait for death.  Mommy is a matriarchal figure who completely dominates Daddy.  The handsome young man, exercising in the background, soon becomes the angel of death.  The play is eerie, modern, and exciting.
