Pygmalion, as presented by the class of '64, delighted two
nights' audiences. Long hours of rehearsals, costume fittings, and scenery
painting went into this production of G.B. Shaw's famous story of a poor
Cockney flower girl and a phonetc's professor who teaches her to "speak
like a lady." An ambitious effort for a high school group, the success of Pygmalion was due largely to the determined hard work of the Senior Dramatics Club, sparked by the advisor, Mr. Cafarelli. [from the 1964 yearbook] |
